Tite-Lok Rod Holders and Fishing Accessories
We decided to post this review because we always use Tite-Lok rod holders. We do not impose your opinion. Personally, I first used the fishing accessories from this manufacturer six years ago. And I note that I was satisfied with the quality of Tite-Lok!
Tite-Lok Fishing Accessories and Mounts are all made of anodized special aluminum alloy with stainless steel hardware. They are equally at home in fresh or salt water. The anodized finish complies with aeronautical specifications that have been salt-spray tested. Test results show that the finish is ideal for providing years of service in a marine environment. Designed by fishermen, for fishermen, these products are noted for their high-quality, exceptional performance and versatility.
Sam Hochstetler, founder and ceo, started Tite-Lok in 1974, making aluminum C-Clamps from his garage. About 5 years later Hochstetler added fishing accessories to his product line. Today, Tite-Lok is housed in a 42,000-square-foot facility with about 50 employees. Along with its own product line, Tite-Lok does custom work for other companies. In 2004, Tite-Lok will be celebrating its 30th anniversary.
New for 2004 from Tite-Lok Fishing Accessories is the 5940-620 Stow-A-Way Folding Trolling system. The Tite-Lok Stow-A-Way system comes fully assembled and ready to use. Just take it out of the box and butt it in your existing seat post, then just adjust the rod holders to the desired positions and start trolling. It’s so easy, and when you’re done fishing, just fold it up and store it in one of your rod lockers.
The Dual Boat Seat system is also new for 2004. Great for crappie fishing, it turns your single seat into two seats. This system works well in combination with Tite-Lok’s Spider Rigging system.
Tite-Lok’s 5760-710-3 Triple Deck Mount is ideal for planer board fishing. It mounts three or four Tite-Lok 5710 rod holders and is easily removed for storage. The system allows each individual rod holder to rotate a full 360 degrees. The Triple Deck Mount can be used with Tite-Lok’s Universal Track system.
The 5710 series tube-style rod holder adjusts and locks into a full range of positions from vertical to horizontal. The tube measures 10 1/2 inches deep and will accept standard rod handles. These rod holders are ideal for planer board, outrigger and downrigger fishing. A mounting screw and an Allen wrench are included. The 5710P is available with a professional pull pin.
The new 5610L unique, open-style rod holder is now styled for quick release. The holder rotates to 12 locking positions and tilts to the desired fishing rod angle. This design permits fast rod removal on the left side when needed, and is ideal for both heavy- and light-duty fishing. The 5610R does the job for the right side.
The new 5840 Black Widow Ultra Mount complements the 5610L and 5610R. The system holds four rods and is great for multiple rod trolling and pulling. It features a 2-inch heavy-duty tube and comes with a 6-inch mounting track.
Tite-Lok’s 5692 Easy Mount is a durable tube-style rod holder with a 22-degree angle. It mounts on any flat surface and provides the stability necessary for most big water fish. The 5692 also can be used for rod storage.
The 5750 series rod holder is designed for quick rod placement and removal with a choice of a 30-or 45-degree angle. The Stem-Lok feature prevents the spinning reel from rotating in the holder. This rod holder works well for planer board, outrigger and downrigger fishing and will work with open face and level wind fishing reels. It is strong enough for salmon or striper fishing.
The company also produces full lines of mounts, deck mounts, rod holders, transducer holders and accessories, storage systems, nets and riggers, and lantern accessories, as well as a track system and accessories, and the Ace of Diamonds clamp series.
